| Importance of the Indicator: This is one measure of community disorganization. Communities with high rates of incarcerated adults may not provide the kind of support adolescents need to make good decisions. Strong bonding with good role models decreases the likelihood that children will engage in negative behaviors such as drug use. | |||||||||||
