Motor vehicle death rate per 100,000 population 65+

Definition: Number of deaths due to motor vehicle traffic per 100,000 people aged 65 and over, three-year average

Notes: Number of deaths is the average of annual deaths during a 3-year period, reported under the year at the midpoint. The 3-year average is used to overcome the year-to-year fluctuation due to small numbers. Population is based on the mid-year resident population estimate of the reporting year published by U.S. Census Bureau.
