65+: Flu shot
Definition: Percentage of people aged 65 and over who had a flu shot during the past 12 months, three-year average
Notes: The data are from Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey (BRFSS). Respondents were asked the question: "During the past 12 months, have you had a flu shot?" Percentage is a 3-year average, which helps to reduce the year-to-year fluctuation due to small numbers. Percentage is reported under the year at the midpoint of the 3-year period. Data reported for 2000 is a 2-year average of 1999 and 2001. National data is the median of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
