Family Composition and Resources

When families flourish, so do their children. When families falter, children suffer. Nothing is more important to a child than his or her family. The family's resources-- financial, emotional, cultural, intellectual--provide the basic ingredients for healthy physical growth and emotional development. The family is the primary institution of our society, the foundation upon which we depend for the successful nurturance of children.
