Learning to Grow: Project Summary

Mission

Learning to Grow (LTG) is a multi-faceted project that is grounded in the state's vision: All of Hawai‘i's children will be safe, healthy, and ready to succeed in school. LTG is funded by a contract with the Hawai‘i's State Department of Human Services.

Programs

• LTG Kith and Kin Outreach Program - providing statewide educational outreach services to families with children ages birth to 5 who receive government-sponsored subsidies for license-exempt child care.
• LTG Parent Consumer Education Program - supporting parents in making informed decisions about their young children's care.
• Family Resource Network Center Program - piloting a system for establishing community-based family resource network centers.
• Imagination Library Program - piloting Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (IL) in selected communities throughout the state.
